Could the answer to swine flu (H1N1 virus), all future pandemics and many other answers to life, be hidden in the next Zappos video?
Would love to hear your opinion !

You lost me there – what has swine flue to do with good company ethics, especially outside of agriculture…?
Hi Kathrin, thank you for your question, I will soon be posting my Karma connection to this video!:)
Great Video, glad I watched it…BUT..just like Kathrin I cant connect the dots, I dont think to topics could possibly be further apart. Im sure many will agree!
Eric, was this an error on your part (worng video) or are you saying something subconsciously that is not easily understood??? either way Id be curious to hear an answer.
Cheers all,
thanks Martin, my answer will be soon posted!:)
I guess I see the connection… very indirect & very subtle though…the moral of the story is that selfless acts create such a powerful good will among people that they are beneficial to everybody in the long term. The swine flu can be blamed on short-sighted , selfish practises of animal farmers & customers, who foolishly believe that their callousness to sentinet animals will go unpunished. If they had the foresight and the long-term intelligence to understand the impact of their selfishness, they would provide animals with better living conditions and avoid the existence of breeding grounds for diseases.
Being an Indian though, I object to the (almost) rascist question by the interviewer about Indian call centers…What’s the point of that question ? The idea that Indian call-centers wouldn’t be able to operate on this company’s philosophy is ridiculous…I really don’t know whether to laugh or cry, since the philosophy is so Indian that I Eric’s point more easily than most people here. The Indian call center employees have no evil intent either, they are just innocent people trying to survive and make a living.
Indians , ironically for this video , knew the power & beauty of selfless acts and their long term benefits thousands of years ago.
I see 2 things:
1. If the animals were treated well (with love and proper food) – not that much antibiotics and other poison =they would not get sick! (or get people sick!) =It is like a boomerang , what you give you will get!
2.Who needs that many shoes? = Who needs that much antibiotics?
(the companies make you feel you need them)
there is not enough sick people – what shall they do with their production?
it is all about the money! (the medical companies needs these pedemics from time to time in order to make profit!!! bird flue etc..)
p.s. very nice company policy! they sell love – not shoes!
This company promotes good quality, fun at all times of your life including work.
Also people are less specialized so this way they can understand others better.
A key seems that the profit is not the final purpose and it is teaching that you have to want to do what you do. If this happens at a greater scale, stress will go down and that will make us a lot stronger.
The fact that the founder already has a huge fortune, helps a lot, so somehow
humanity should get the wealth into the hands of less gready people.
I am a Mexican and I very hurry for this because friends are sick and is very high the risk of contingency

Hi Erik,
Re: readjusting the perspective on our self worth
We might need a new school system and natural born teachers with no self esteem problems.

the use of face masks and boosting your immune system by taking lots of vitamin-C is still an effective way of preventing the spread of the Swine Flu virus.
i always advice my kids to wear face masks when going into crowded areas. swine flu is really scary and i dont want my kids getting infected by it.
